I have the fondest memories of your Mother at Eastanallee. She was a great inspiration everyone she met and those she never met in person but by her cards. She will always be remembered for her great contribution to the church through her music. She will will be greatly missed.

Today is March 17, 2016. I woke up this morning thinking about my younger days in elementary school, and Mrs. Powell crossed my mind, and was thinking about her. Strange thing is, I had no clue she had passed away. My mom just informed me of her passing about one hour after. I had Mrs. Powell as a teacher at Riceville Elementary School, about 20 years ago. She became one of my favorite and impactful teachers. She was a very thoughtful person. Five years after I had her as a teacher, she heard about my Grandpa's passing, and found me to give me her condolence and a card.

You will always be remembered, Mrs. Powell! Thanks for all you did.

Mrs. Powell will forever be remembered fondly by all who grew up at Riceville Elementary School. It was always very special to receive one of her handwritten thank you notes. I am sorry for your loss.

To the family of Barbara, We knew your mother/grandmother from attending Estanallee Baptist Church. We were some of the fortunate people to receive birthday and anniversary cards from Barbara. We also enjoyed hearing her play the organ every Sunday morning. She was a wonderful woman and it was a priviledge to know her. So sorry for your loss.
